Letter to a Puddle

Dear Puddle,

I will find you. And when I do, I will jump in you.

Love, Finn

Liam's House!

Finn enjoyed his own personal vacation when Tom and I went to Las Vegas for Tante Lauren's wedding. He stayed with his best bud Liam and they had a blast! You need not say "Liam's House" more than once to get Finn sprinting to the door with shoes and jacket in hand. They had an event-filled weekend and everyone was able to relax! Well, except for Liam's parents. :) We are eternally grateful to them for taking in our little critter.

Lots of hugs!
So, you see, Finn, this is how you turn it on.
Liam, your mom's upstairs. Let's turn it up even louder!

Baby Hungry

We just returned from a wonderful visit with great friends to meet Baby Henry!! Or, as Finn calls him, Baby Hungry. He is a sweet and perfect little bundle of joy. Our bundle of joy took to working in the backyard. Great times.

The Landscaping Crew

Check out these handsome gardeners! All decked out in green, Finn and Daddy planted some wildflowers in the front yard last week.

The Boy, the Birthday, and the Bike

Finn is 2! We had a low-key celebration with Omi and Opa - presents, pizza, cupcakes, and a short trip to Petco (to admire the hamsters, of course!). Finn was in love with all of his presents - a watering can with gardening tools, a cash register, a fire truck, and (drumroll, please!) a TRIKE!! See his excitement as Daddy busts through the door with Finn's new escape mechanism. We have done alot of riding over the past few weeks. Alot. Which is great, until you hear a small, but loud voice exclaim "Outside!!" when it's pouring down rain. Nonetheless, we've had quite a few good biking days and Finn is really proud of his new trike. He hasn't yet figured out that he needs to push on the pedals to make the bike go, which is no problem because of the pushbar that was included - good thinking Kettler! And many thanks, Grosi and Grandpa!

Another Sssssilly Visit with Omi and Opa

Theme of the visit: snakes. Finn was allowed to pick 2 items from the birthday basket at his school, and the selection included a coloring book and bag of 7 plastic snakes. As you can see in pic #3, Finn is attacking Opa while he exercises with a colorful selection of slithering beauties. The snakes ate dinner with us on night one, slept in a little suitcase, and overall seem to enjoy their new home.

Omi took Finn to the zoo and brought him a Lindt gold bunny (Goldhase) from Germany. Finn loves his snuggly new spring buddy. Then Finn and Opa got to work and carved out a storage space under the stairs. Finn ran to get his toolbox as soon as he heard Opa with the hammer!
